TEAM FULL THROTTLE SIGNS NEW ENGLAND MINI-CUP CHAMPION
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. The Team Full Throttle NASCAR Driver Development Program recently signed New Hampshire Mini Cup Association (NHMCA) champion Brian Mondeau to its group of talented, young racers.
2008 will mark Mondeau’s move into the NHMCA Open class (senior division) where he will attempt to build on his 2007 NHMCA Young Guns championship.
I’m really happy to be able to join Team Full Throttle, said the 15-year-old Mondeau. “I want to do well for them this year. Our goal is to finish top five in points in the senior class. We want to try to get our car to hook up better without the restrictor (plate) on the engine (the only difference between the Young Guns and Open class). The competition will be tougher and we need to keep learning the car to do the best we can.
This will be our third year in it and I have gained a lot of valuable experience that will help me throughout my move up the racing ladder, Mondeau added.
Mondeau has a long list of sponsors who make his racing effort possible.
“I want to thank every one who is involved with our team. Access Mortgage, Grants Rental, Khoury Tree Service, Battis Auto Body, Mike Forni Oil, Next Financial, Central Glass, Coastal Overhead Door, Dunkin Donuts, Kenwood Tire, and now Team Full Throttle are all behind our team.
Brian Mondeau is a member of the Team Full Throttle NASCAR Driver Development Program and is represented by Driver Development Services, Inc., Charlotte, N.C. For more information on Brian visit www.goteamfullthrottle.com or contact (704) 664-1755.

Driver Chris Igo Signs 4 year contract with Team Full Throttle! After speaking with the owners of Team Full throttle (Tom Baker and Mike Calinoff) for weeks on the phone and internet, the weekend of August 3 was finally scheduled for us to go down to Mooresville, North Carolina to meet Tom and Mike in person. As soon as we touched down in North Carolina I felt at home. Mooresville, being the racing capital of the country, had a lot to offer as we spent our free time visiting many NASCAR team shops and headquarters. The initial interview went great, considering how nervous I was going into it knowing I was going to be in the presence of the most wins spotter in NASCAR Mike Calinoff and the man who could make my dreams of racing at an ARCA or NASCAR level come true, Tom Baker. The following day, we met back with Tom at Full Throttles office building to sign the 4 year contract. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have such an extraordinary opportunity to take my racing career to the next level, and after going to Lowes Motor Speedway with Tom to see a Legends practice and meet some of my new teammates, I know that I am now in contact with some of the greatest young drivers nationwide who can help me to improve my performance. This is a huge milestone in my racing career and I would like to thank all of my sponsors who have helped support me financially to be where I am at today. Also, I would especially like to thank my Mom, Terry for having as much dedication to my dream as I do and for always helping me to hold my head up high, and to my Dad for all his hard work and dedication to working on the car and for his exceptional interest in my racing career. Also to all my fans, friends, and family, I couldn't be where I am now without you! Thank you all, for helping me to open the doors to what I hope to be a very successful future in racing. |

MASSACHUSETTS MINI-CUP RACER IS TEAM FULL THROTTLE’S NEWEST ADDITION
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Seventeen-year-old Chris Igo Jr. recently signed with the Team Full Throttle Driver Development Program. Igo, a native of Easton, Mass., currently races mini-cup cars weekly at Massachusetts’ Seekonk Speedway in the Seekonk Youth Racing Association (SYRA) 750 class as well as the New Hampshire Mini-cup Association, which tours pavement short-tracks throughout New England.
Igo is a former race winner at Seekonk and is currently sixth place in SYRA 750 point standings.
“We had a great season last year,” Igo began, “but we’ve struggled to find the right setup this season. We have really high hopes for the rest of the year, and I think we’re going to get it together and hopefully get some wins. We’d really like to get back to the top five in points and I’m confident we can do that.”
Igo admits a hard accident toward the end of last season may be the reason his Igo Racing No. 8 mini-cup team is yet to find the hot setup in 2008.
“We were second in points all last year with a bunch of wins and then we had a pretty bad accident with a few races to go (in the season) that bent a lot of car. We ended up slipping to fourth in the points and this year we’re still trying to get it right. We make adjustments every week and I think we made the best changes of the year before last weekend but the races got rained out. We’ll focus on our next race and hopefully get our first win of the year,” said Igo.
Igo will race again Friday night at Seekonk assuming the New England weather forecast cooperates.
Chris Igo Jr. is a 17-year-old Massachusetts mini-cup racer. Igo is a 2004 champion in the F1 Boston Indoor Karting League and is tentatively planning a move to either the sport truck or late model class at Seekonk Speedway in 2009.
Igo is a member of the Team Full Throttle Driver Development Program and is represented by Driver Development Services, Inc., Charlotte, N.C. Igo’s marketing partners include C.M. Cleaning Co.; Rite-Way Electric; Stacy’s Snacks; Alex’s Lemonade Stand; Piping Systems, Inc.; Cirelli Foods; Mike’s Mini Cup, LLC.; Internet Design & Development; and CO Graphics & Signs.
Team Full Throttle is a Mooresville, N.C., based driver development program that specializes in all areas of personal and professional development, including leadership, teamwork, and communications as well as marketing, promotion, and on-track driving skills. TFT currently comprises over 30 racers who reside and race in all regions of the country.
